But when i come to a stop or im just idling, the gauge drops below 0 all the way to the ground and i need to rev it to get it to show any pressure.

Could there be something faulty or is it just the crappy stock gauge?

you'll have to perform a test with a mechanical gauge to verify good pressure from the oiling system in the block......it could be a bad sending unit or a gauge issue

you still need to verify it with a mechanical test...they sell test gauges at napa I believe...mine is a snap-on gauge but if it drops to zero you may have a faulty pressure relief valve in the pump...this happened to my 66 stang last year......but you need to verify that first by performing a mechanical test to see if the condition remains the same when performing the test with a mech gauge

i would do that asap to. mine started to do this one day and a week or so later i had a spun bearing

dont even look at the stock gauges anymore, go aftermarket

for real, i bleed blue but ford oil/temp./current gauges have always been kinda bad
