Jasper motors
I have a 1990 5.0 LX 5 speed thats in need of a new motor. I'm looking at a Jasper motor. What's everybody's opinion on them? I've installed several at work for people with no problem but the Mustang is more of a (ahem) high performance application. That's not to say I'm going to beat the heck out of it, but I will run it hard on occasion. So, do they hold up? My budget is $1500-$2000. Any other suggestions? I thought of buying a Ford shortblock and topping it with rebuilt heads, but I like Jasper's warranty. What's everybody think? Thanks.

RE: Jasper motors
It's nice to have a warranty but remember you will not be able to mod or you will VOID the warranty. If you want a stock daily driver with a warranty it is a good choice. If you think you might want to keep up with your buddy that has some mods, spend your money differently.

RE: Jasper motors
Just wondering, what do you think they would call mods? I mean, I have headers and might be adding a new intake at the time of the swap. I don't think I'll ever go into the motor though. The car's really just a daily driver.
