i would put money on either a throwout bearing or pilot bearing. either way the tranny is coming down[>:]
if its a pilot bearing, have fun getting that out - of course i would replace both, and probably the rear main seal while i was in there.

what would cause fluid pressure issues, what happens if i keep driving it?could it be the vacum/valve body on it too?

well atleast a 700r4 is cake work to rebuild... the jerking w. that one sounds like fluid pressure issues...
