i run mobil 1 full syn 5w30,plus i add some Lucas Oil. that stuff works great. you can change it every 3000-5000 miles depending on how hard you run the car.

Not jackin your thread, but I use Royal Purple 5W-30 with LUCAS oil too, I was told by a few poeple that with a high mileage car (like mine, round 160K like PRO's) that I should NOT use synthetic and also go to like a 10W-40 or Valvoline 20W-50. Well I like the RP and dont want to starve the top end of oil. But now I have doubts. Any words of encouragement?

royal purple is great too, as long as the lucas is in there you will be fine. 20w 50 maybe good for higher milage vehicles because of the thickness of it helping seal the piston rings better. the lucas will do the same thing but it is tackier.
