Default need brake help

I have recently had a problem with my brake system where my front left brake was making a funny noise then it would remain seized when I let off. I checked all the outside pads and they were fine. I took it to a shop and apparently the inside pad was worn to metal. I need a new rotor and caliper. Then he said the rear left is starting to do the same thing and should be replaced and if I have one whole new side that it will pull and so I should replace all of them total cost like 900. I know I could buy parts and do it myself cheaper and I had eventually planned to do the brake system but later on in my ownership of the car. Just wondering what inexpensive brake kits you would recommend. I’m not looking for anything special just taking advantage of replacing the whole system by putting something better on. I have found a bullitt conversion kits on eBay for 900. is there anything better for the money. I really don’t want to buy brakes seeing as my rusted exhaust, rear main seal, and other problems need attention. But suggestions on other kits or other ways around the problem would be appreciated.
(it took my a paragraph just to ask what brake kit wtf)

you could just buy stock replacement parts for the entire front and rear brakes and not spend $900 but you would have to install it yourself. if other stuff needs attention, just go with the stock replacement parts for the time being and you might have some cash left to work on the other stuff.

Unless you plan on doing a lot of mods to your car where upgraded brakes are needed to help you stop, keep it stock. While you're changing out your pads, rotor, and calipers, flush out your brake fluid and put new fluid in there. That stuff is a sponge for water and other garbage that gets into the lines and causes corrosion (that caused your caliper to bind)

Just my two cents.....

If you are going to be putting new calipers on the front to be safe replace the rubber flex line as well. This way after installing all the new parts the lines don't blow out.

pads- $40 per pair
shoes- $25 per pair
rear hardware- $8
rotors- $180 per pair
drums- $60 per pair

total- $313

those are the parts they would install on ur car, and its 1/3 the price you would pay if you DIY. instead of getting new drums and rotors, you can prolly just get them cut. i think its only like $10 per to get them cut. it all depends on how deep the scratches are.

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I should have mentioned I have 4 wheel discs on a 95 GT. I’m pretty sure I will just go ahead and get that Bullitt kit for my car as I have someone who can show me how to do it all. And they will look nice under new rims. So unless anyone knows something about Bullitt conversion kits that they aren’t worth the money that’s what I will do.

Ok well 800 was the most I wanted to spend on the brakes so I won’t get anything more expensive then Bullitt it was just the cheapest ‘performance’ kit I could find. Is there a site you guys would recommend for buying stock or near stock replacement parts inexpensively? EBay has been little help. At www.50resto.com I can get stock rotors for $40 like most of you said. But all the calipers are either cobra or Bullitt on that site and are 200 for a pair. Will the cobra or Bullitt calipers fit on the stock rotors on that site?
here
If so which is better? Or is there a better site that has an inexpensive kit or stock/ near stock parts such as 50resto.
All you guys who posted who posted prices where did you get those.

As of now the cheapest total I have found is 560 at 50resto.
