Default Check engine light?

my check engine light came on today when I was about 3 miles from work this morning at around 7 am

it then came on and off every so often on my drive home at 5:15pm....

car has been running fine, engine light just came on, sputtered a tiny bit at idle when I parked

good oil psi
normal operating temps

what could be a possible cause?

I need to change the oil, really close to the 3,000 mile mark

car was really low on gas before I put 10 bucks in it

it was really really cold out today, in the teens...

dirty MAF sensor?

clogged ERG (EGR?) valve?

also, the car sat since friday as I was in no shape to drive after I got my wisdom teeth out, under a cover through two snowfalls

YOU WANT A GUESS???[&:]....at least do us a favor and run a koeo/koer test and pull a code so we can narrow the 1 of a hundred possibilities down...but when a cel comes on it is often emissions related
