Default ECU Removal

I'm trying to get my ECU out to install my SCT chip. How the hell does this thing come out of there?

I know in the fox you remove the passenger side kick panel, then unscrew one screw, and it pulls down and out. It was a PITA for me because it was really tight in there.

Easy...... just remove the entire dash and HVAC blower box
You can get to it real easy then ......... lol

or remove the bottom screw on the white plastic ECU holder
and you can try and slide it down and out.

So there is nothing on the top holding the ECU in that I need to worry about?

just did two separate sn cars yesterday...panel off, n i unclipped the three separate harnesses that are in front of the ecu to get them outta the way..then hmmm its a metric socket.cant remember which..but ya ..unscrew that screw n pull the plug..then tiny little socket to take off the screw holdin the white plastic deal n it slides out with a little persuasion...oh..to make it even easier..that black metal bracket that the 3 connecters are secured too comes off with two screws..gives ya more room

ya from what i remember it was just a few bolts folding the brackets nothing on top just needs to be wiggled around abit i thinkk when i did it you kinda pull the bottom end out towards yourself then slide the whole thing down but i only did it once i found getting it back in properly the trickier part
