Default 88 GT custom tuning?

is it possible to get custom tuning like on the newer cars, i have a hypertech chip in it now and i know that it really doesnt do more than advance the timing or make a big difference in HP. how much of a difference can be made in an old 88 GT AOD and who out there can do this (SCT etc.)

a dyno tune on a speed density stock mustang is a waste[&:]......add mods and or a h/c/i then you may warrant a dyno tune..but you need to set the car up right and match components...just doing a tune would be a waste

I don't see a lot requiring a tune if thats your car in your sig. HCI cars need some tweaking because the air/fuel capacities are altered beyond the scope of the stock tune and loss of idle/running rich/lean or poorly happens. That is a simplistic explanation but hopefully helpful.

^^^^^I'd help but the speed density may or may not like the e-cam.....that is where a tune will need to focus the attention

as long as the intake valves don't exceed 1.94/1.90's you'll be fine..if you were to use a 2.02 valved head than you'd need to notch pistons.....gt-40's have 1.84/1.54 valves
