Default Turn Signal Problem HELP!

Whats up everybody. I have a 1987 Mustang GT and my turn signals are not working properly. When you push it up or down to make a turn, the turn signal light goes on but it doesnt blink. The turn signal lever stays down or up. Someone told me that it might be the flasher so I went out and bought a 552 flasher for a mustang and it didnt fit. If anyone can help me at all please do. Thanks.

I believe there is two flashers on the mustang one is on the fuseboxs and the other is up in the dash kind of pass. side you can get to it by removing the glove box if I remember right. If that isn't it it may be the whole switch. that is whats wrong with mine.

when bulb burns out this is what happens. Turn on the lights and check front and rear to see which is burned out.
