RE: Fuel Pump Question- Need help asap
by the way, my tps is dead on target at .99 volt and please someone tell me if it is normal for fuel pressure to drop the slightest bit or should it always remain constant and only increase as you rev the engine

jesus christ man, listen to people who have answered, don't keep bumping it up until somebody tells you what you want to hear. It's not going to happen unless they're stupid and lying to you.
No, don't install the inline pump if the stock one is going bad.
If your fuel pressure is dropping as RPMs are rising, I'm going to wager that your pump cannot keep up with the demand. Your injectors need X PSI to spray properly, and if the stock pump cannot maintain X psi at full injector flow then you need a bigger pump. You could put a stock replacement pump in, but if the one in there now is failing because it's overworked, the new one will fail too. You are better off doing the swap once and doing it right, with a high-flow one. If your engine is running lean because you can't get enough fuel supplied, you run the risk of detonating and destroying your engine.

RE: reply to this or im gonna put a sbc in my mustang
yah dude dont cut corners. do a 190 intank and save your self the stress. if the pump is bad now its only goin to get worse. plus the 190 will be perfect for u as well in the long run.
