Default 95 Mustang Cobra Brakes

First of all. I'm new here so hello to everyone.
I was wondering how often you guys and galschange your brake pads. I've had my car for over 5 years. I have never changed mine. I checked them the other day and they look like they have60% life left. It doesn't stop as good as it did when I bought it. Could they be crystalized? I have done some very hard braking.

Default RE: 95 Mustang Cobra Brakes

it's a posibility the rotor surface is glazed.....having the rotor resurfaced with a non directional finish...may bring back some stopping power and the type of pad often will dictate stopping ability too
