Default stalling

i was driving home tonight accelerating at about 50 and then let up and it started cutting out like it wasnt getting fuel or something and then the car just died and the battery went dead.. ive never had a problem like this, i have the battery on the charger overnight but is that the problem or is there something else that could have caused that to happen

Default RE: stalling

was the battery dead cause after it stalled you cranked it until no more juice was left in the battery?? or after it stalled it would not restart cause battery was dead?? if that's the case..have the alternator tested..it most likely is bad if all connections are clean and tight

Default RE: stalling

well i just replaced the alternator about 2 months ago and it could be that but the battery isnt the best and i have an aftermarket stereo which kinda drains it but just a deck, and speakers. but my battery isnt even the right size for the battery holder it has about 2 inches on each side of it in the holder so i have to figure out what battery fits there and that may be the problem is i dont have a big enough battery?
