Is vortech good, well I guess just as good as any cause your using the ford electronics. then Its just upto the quality of the metal or the construction of it. Any one want to add?

that looks identical to my 73mm C&L unit. i dont see why it wouldnt function the same, vortech makes good superchargers so im sure their MAFs would be ok too. besides its just a metal tube with screw on sampling tubes. Get it, youll be fine.

I would try to find something a little bigger such as Vortech's 76mm unit or a 75mm unit from a company such as Pro-M or Granetellie..

It's not so much how big it is. especially sense you are talkin mm's. Its more or less the quality of the build and and how well it reads the the incoming air. If you go too big it will loose its ability to read how much air is coming in. but any aftermarket mafs is gonna be less restrictive than the stock unit.
