yea it was the same pump exactly only thing is i dont have the bottom mount brakcet so it was helo on by the one bolt below the altenator...i had loosend the altenator also...im thinking its possible i have either the pump or altenator too far over one way making the belt hard to get on... does that sound possible??

Yep make sure they are the same, could be different size pullie???? Thats so minor though shouldn't be causing you that much trouble. Its a simple set up, take a step back. Make sure its lined up correct, belt is run properly, and tensioner is adjusted properly.

Your brackets and blots should line right up. There should be NO play there

the pump didnt come with a pulley so i kept mine it was the same thing...i think when i put the altenator back on and pump( i didnt pay attention i rushed) i didnt put them in the proper place and thats why the belt wouldnt go on..i kinda threw it on there cause i had to get the car to the shop to get painted.
