Hey everyone, my project 351 cleveland its going good.
Now one of my friends got my 302 and he gots a turbo kit and he wanna boost 10psi. He is affraid to blow it up....
here is a list of what i had on the 302
1-svt gt 40 heads (aluminum)
2-Edelbrock upper and lowere intakemanifold set rpm performer
3-cam f303
4-32lbs injectors
5-70 mmthr body
6-MSD
6-pulies
7-BBK headers
The B-in of the engine its stock just like the pistons and rods ,the oil pump its from summit......
the turbo kit he just run into is complete ,inj,fuel pump and all the tubes clamps brackets and all ...IS THE ENGINE GONNA TAKE THE PAINE.......?

 

well i read an article in muscle mustangs and fast fords that they put a turbo on an all stock 5.0 and ran 10 to 13 psi and it ran good making 433 hp to the tires and 500 some ft lbs. of torque and the motor had over 200,000 miles on it so you should be okay but of course forged internals is always better.

 

It's all in the dyno tune. With good tune he will be fine.

R.barn is right, it is all in the tune. I'm running 8psi now and man it is fun but just like everything else you get used to it then you want more.
