shift kit install:everything that can go wrong has
ok..so i did the shift kit install.it went by pretty smooth.so i put it back together..start it up.then try reving it..gas pedal WILL NOT move!so i go and disconnect the TV cable and it works.I try puting it in gear..It wont move either!so i go under and readjust the shift cable link.Still same thing.any ideas?what went wrong?
also,i tried to adjust the TV cable from down below and now theres alot of slack of the cable.and it wont move when its connected to the transmission
Take the pan off, that metal part type rod, is probally not aligned correctly with your VB/
Get us some pics if you can.
Whenever doing this,l its always a good ideah to have the machine shop straight deck the plates and VB to guarantee sealing.

ooh ok..how would know if it is alligned?I diditn check that valve when i put it back together..would this effect the shift link problem too?and the TV cable there is just WAYY too much slack.
after you get it running drive it to a good performance transmission place and get it adjusted(the tv cable) but tell them what you did as far as gears and shift kit in the car.
keep the pan off, watch closely, there is a metal flap that is held with a VB bolt that has a metal roller on it. It goes on that rod.
MAKE sure that its on in such a way, as you shift the lever, it moves in and and out/clicks, very easy, just focus some.
