The other day I was driving around a bit and when I got home I could hear a loud air/hissing sound from under the hood. It seemed to be coming from the area right in front of the drivers side windshield in the engine area. Today when I started my car I could hear it right away. It's pretty loud and noticeable. There hasn't been any smoke and the car seems to be driving fine. Any ideas/suggestions. Thanks

check for a vaccum leak..use your ear to narrow down source

it could be a vaccum leak, get yourself some carb cleaner and with the engine running spray some of the cleaner where you think its coming from, and if the engine bogs a little you've got yourself a leak...be careful not to blow yourself up! haha[sm=lol.gif] just kidding man, its easy stuff

Check the vacuum lines under the upper intake manifold.
