Default If you own a convertible...

hey all convertible owners. I want to clear up some of the problems only we have that coupes do not...and how to solve them.

Here are the questions (anybody can add more if they think of some):

1. Completely stock...did your car sit straight? I have a saggy front driver corner.

2. Do you have problems with worse than normal door sagging?

3. The squeeking that comes from behind the back seats while driving...how was this eliminated? What caused it?

4. Do your doors rub agains the A-pillar and squeek?

5. Has anybody installed any other types of chassis stiffening than sub connectors? If so what and was it worth it?

6. Cloth or vynil top? Which one do you like better? Where can both be gotten?

7. Other than engine mods...what is the best nonengine mod?

These are just some questions that I have that I know originated because my car is a convertible. So if you know some answers feel free to shoot them out and if you have more questions...let us know.

The best knowledge is shared knowledge.

My car is stock.

get some subframes. your convertible being what it is, is lacking roof support. that is why your doors are rubbing. the squeeking could also be caused by lack of chassis support. you probably need a new spring on the left, front corner. but don't just replace one. get some lowering springs or something for all four corners.
