so I just bought a 155lph edlebrock fuel pump and was wondering if anyone chould give me a brief tutorial of install and maybe an estimated time this job whould take to complete thanks guys. Btw its an 89 fox 5.0

 

Well for you to ask that question, im assuming you have never installed a fuel pump before.


Open the fuel tank filler door(where you add gas), remove those bolts.

Beelow, a jack or friend holding the tank as you remove the two bolts that support the straps.


The whole gas tank come down with lines attached, remove the two lines as needed and use a hammer and BRASS flat head to tap the circular ring counterclockwise.

If your used to using a metal screw driver, or if your smoking down there, I would break those two habbits.

excellent write up, im doing mine saturday... ad yes use a brass piece to hit the ring off... i do not have one so im gonna have to figure a way around it.

just drop tank and tap ring around on sending unit..remove unit..install pump and reassemble... for a first time I'd say 2 hr job
