Rack and Pinion

Rack and Pinion
I've replaced both inner and outter tie rods on my 95 Cobra SVT. i still get a popping noise on the driver side up front. is it the rack and pinion? when i installed the new parts, and before attaching them to the spindle, i could feel vibration coming from the rack and pinion. once secured to the spindle, i could still move the tie rods and feel movement. has my driver side rack and pinion failed me? or could it be ball joints that are making noise?

RE: Rack and Pinion
i vote ball joints for popping. just lift your wheels off the ground, have someone shake the wheel back/forth/up/down while you hold the ball joint. feel for play in it, check other suspension components this way also if possible.

RE: Rack and Pinion
I replaced the ball joints, lower control arm bushings, tie rods (inner and outer) and i still hear the noise. could it possibly be the rack and pinion? i dont hear any noise when i steer, just when im not accelerating i hear a popping sound from the driver front wheel. when i accelerate i hear nothing. when i brake hard, i hear nothing.
