damn, everybody has this problem. wtf could it be? we have all tried the same solutions but still it stays the same. does everybody else cuss their car and talk about selling it or carburating it like I do? I say I hate this *&^%$#@#@*%(& everytime i get in it. It ran better with stock heads before I started messing with it. Could we all be having ignition problems rather than sensor problems? somebody go buy a msd pro billet distibutor and tell us if that fixes the problem. cause im too tight to buy one

Why get an MSD, buy a pick up coil for $15 and a good aftermarket TFI for $50 and rebuild the stocker. TFI can cause breaking up and missing issues, so can the pick up coil for that matter. And remember this, the TFI is not very receptive to torque on the screws that you mount it to the distributor with. The 1st one I got from the parts store before I got my Accel at the speed shop was cracked on both mounting areas. If you look this is part of the thin film part of the TFI and if cracked will cause your car to run like crap. Trust me I know, I bolted it on anways to see if it truely affected the performance and the car ran but badly. It backfired, popped, missed, and had no power. But again, my problem was intermittent so it was hard to trace down and finally ended up being the ECT. But this was after I changed everything else so it could have been other sensors in conjuction with the ECT.
