Rubbing Problem!

Rubbing Problem!
I have a 1994 GT, I recently purchased some black 03 cobra wheels, 17x9 with 255/40's, the rear are 17x10.5 with 315/35's, nittos all the way around. The front rub on the sway bar when turned all the way, the rear are like within 1/8 of an inch of rubbing on the quad shocks and a (I think) parking brake cable. Do you guys think it would be alright to put like a 5/16th spacer in there?

RE: Rubbing Problem!
my tires used to rub before i put c/c plates on. my wheels are 17x9 but they rubbed the control arms not the sway bar. you should be able to fit 255 of front with no problems. i've heard bad things about the spacers, but thats just me.

RE: Rubbing Problem!
if your worried about the quad shocks. take them off. my friend has his off and has no problems. some people say put upper/lower control arms back there and then take them off, but my friends had it like that for a while. and the rumor is that those spacers have something to do with the lug nuts coming loose over time. i could be wrong but thats what i heard. i work in a small mechanic shop and every time those explorers or tahoes the have those spacers in them the tech 3 guys say bad stuff about them. thats all.
