Hello, I have a 1988 project I am working on. The top and rear curtain will need to be replaced. I have found many tops and curtains online for decent prices but have never installed one before. I like to think I am pretty handy but can accept limits also. The cheapest install with parts I have found is $875, breaks down to about 4 for parts and almost 5 for install.
Has anyone installed and would you suggest a novice try it out or just pay for the pro's?

My 84 also needs a new top and back glass. I have been searching for info, with lettle success. I found a web site that seems to be just what Ineeded. Try this site:http://www.supercar.com/installconvertibletop.aspAfter reading this, I am going to do it myself. If you mess it up you are out a few hundred bucks to purchase another top. If you are successful you have saved several hundreddollars. I have been toldby a friend to let the top set in the sun for a few hours before installing to allow it to warm up to be more plyable.Hope this helps you, and me. Good luck with your project.

how many times are you willing to screw it up before it'll end up costing you more than it would of to have taken it to an upholstry shop???
I did it myself and boke the new glass window the first time I put it down. Then I got the plastic rear curtain and it's perfect. It's not that hard a job to do especially with the plastic window because the glass one is so heavy. I got it all from Year One and it wasn't expensive. Take the old one off and keep it as a reference when putting the new one on.
