5 Lug Conversion for 86 Stang

I've been reading up on the 5-lug conversion for 87-93 foxes but I can't find any info on 5-lug conversion for pre 87 foxes. I know the rear end in my 86 is the same as 87-93, but there must be something different about the front. If anyone could please help, it would be greatly appreciated.

What do I need in the front for 5-lugs then? Different struts?

Yes, If you use struts from an 87 they should fit and allow you to do the conversion. I'm upgrading my 86 to the Ford Racing 93 Spec Cobra R discs at all 4 corners. Go to mustangwarehouse.com and click the 5.0 link at the right. Then click on brake kits in the brakes section and you can read where it says the kit will fit with 87 struts.
