Do I have to get a new maf if I run 24LB injectors? WIll the stock one not work, the guy I bought the injectors from said he was running the stock one?

 

Yes.... or get it tuned via a chip, Tweecer, etc.

 

Thanks, what really sucks is I just bought a new cobra intake with 24lb injectors, b/c I thought I had a stock intake. Come to find out I have an explorer intake with stock injectors, however it was ported to match the heads, will I loose power putting the cobra one on?

 

Explorer intake = Cobra intake.... no need to replace it.

Nope.....Cobras or any OEM Ford MAF are not calibrated to any injector size. The "calibration" or match between the MAF transfer curve and the injectors size, is done in the ECM logic. The phrase "MAF calibrated to xx injectors" is the result of the aftermarket manipulating the MAF transfer curve with lower values to "fool" the ECM logic into thinking the engine is not at the load % it really is, to lower the bigger fuel injectors pulse width.
