MSD 6A. Confused
Alright here's the deal. I know where all of the wires go. But I don't know what some of them mean lol. Two go to the coil.
Two go to the battery, speaking of, can i just run those two to the solenoid seems how my battery is in the trunk?
One goes to switched 12 volts. Wheres the easiest place to wire this one in?
And the diagram says one goes to the point or amplifier output or some crap?
Oh and with the tach output, which wire does this connect to on my autometer tach if at all? lol like i said im confused and im sure i sound really retarded right now.
Help me out boys.

RE: MSD 6A. Confused
Ahh yes, good ol MSD systems. I just went through this dance myself a few weeks back. Set the whole thing up and turned the key to no avail...turns out i had the wrong diagram. My problem waspicking the right distributer since I didn't have a magnetic pickup.I poked around on the MSD site and found the correct one and it was smooth sailing from there on out.
As far as the battery lines i had the same situation with the trunk. Justgrounded the neg. and ran the hot right to the contact on the starter motor where it came up from the rear of the car. Worked fine. For the switched12v source you can use your ignition from the key. There is probably an easier location, but you know that where you turn the key is guarenteed to be switched and 12v. I had the advantage of an easy place to run the wire under the dash, but mine was in a 67 so i dont know how it will work for you. good luck though.
