is it even worth it to do it though, do you notice a big different in performance or what?

 

i wouldn't eliminate the ac unless the ac is not working and you have no plans of fixing it. i still have my ac cause it works good. my smog pump was gone when i bought the car but it probably wouldnt make that much diffrence. my friend has the smog and ac removed and just uses a shorter belt with no eliminators. do u have to pass smog? does your ac work? are you running cats?

 

Once again, you CANNOT delete the AC without some type of it. The belt does not clear itself.

 

If you have the Offroad H-Pipe, rip that smog pump right out, since it serves no purpose, but since you were talking about emissions, I'm going to assume you still have cats, which in that case, it would be smart to leave it running, otherwise your cats will get clogged up...

 

horsepower is minimal..now loosing the wieght in another story..I still have my ac and smog pump...smog is not hooked up but is there for show..you can guy the pump and just leave the pulley..getting rid of the power steering and going with a quick manaul rack will add about 8-10 hp and lose about 20 pounds off the front which inturn have the car react better

 

i just got flaming river manaul rack and took off a/c ..i still got stock tensioer, but i revervsed the spring in it ,,works real good..dont have a pic yet of it ..

 

I got rid of the A/C ans smog pump, without buying anything other than a short belt. I just routed it a bit different. Can't get the picture now but, the belt come off the crank, right to the alternator, to the water pump back to the tensioner, then to the spower steering, then back to the crank. Search the forums, you'll probably find my picture.
