rough idle backfire when hot and starting
I see there is a million idle questions but I cant seem to find my answer....... I have a 94 GT conv 5spd, the only mod is an off road h pipe and 2.5 inch tips. But whenever I drive my car on hotter days and shut if off for 1min to 20mins and start it up again it has a iractic idle, the tailpipes crackle and pop like mad and there is a extreme loss of power and it wants to bog out, oh and it's runs really rich. But it will only do this untill I shift a few times driving down the road then it clears up and wont do it again untill it's shut off and restarted. and its not overheating, it will also just die when I pull up to a light the odd time. Im totally lost?????

RE: rough idle backfire when hot and starting
Not to sure when they were last replaced I have had the car for just over a year and this problem started about 4 months after I had the exhaust done, I havent replaced them. Would a faulty O2 cause that many issues? Im redoing the whole exhaust system in a couple of weeks guess I should replace the 02's. thanks for the help!
