Default good launch RPM

Hi I’m new to mustangs so I need to know, what is a good launch RPM for a mustang? We have a 89 mustang which is stock at least engine internals, only with a cobra intake MSD an MSD ignition, flywheel and clutch.

street tires?

just place around with it but it should be fairly low rpms so you dont roast the tires. also depends at where you are launching? drag strip or on the street?

Go out and practice, every1 is diff since people run diff setups on dif tires on diff surfaces, at diff temps in diff places. get my drift
Take the car out and practice it oon some empty street or dragstrip, depends where you run. start at low rpms(1200-1300) and work ur way up.

We haved streets tires rigth now and already have slicks but never used and is for drag strip use

let me tell you about this this car was bought by the institution that I worked for so they assingned 4,000 a year for this car. the first 4 went to put the car in optimal condition exterior and interior and a couple of things. the institution said no nitrous and everything haved to be aproved by the person in charge, not us. so we tried do a couple of things so we can de as best as posible in the drag strip. so far the pilot of this car, not me my friend, set the launch to 4200. the car slip to much and have a strong wheel hopin both wheel. so far these car you could complete only 3 to 4 1/8 runs the best was 8.4 but We need to work with the rear suspension. what could help me there suspension is not my favorite. thanks a lot and sorry for the bad english

Lower control arms, some tires are a must for the track. Just Drag radials make a diff. get Some shocks also. Strange 10-ways are nice. That should be good for a mild car.
