Are you prying the fork with a bar?

does the quadrant have 1 or 3 notches to hook ?

and are you removing the locking nuts and just putting the threaded rod through ? you showln't have any issues, they are all the same '79-'93

i was just removing the pins and putting the metal piece on the rod. do i have to remove the nuetral safety switches? because that looks like it would let the cable down more... and no im not prying it with a bar..... i never did before. i just pulled on it and that was enough to get the nut through...

The quadrant is above the gas pedal. You shouldn't be doing anything on/over the clutch pedal itself. If that's what you're doing.

ya i put the metal piece to the rod with 2 pins.. put the clutch cable on that piece in the car... quadrant is all the way screwed in leaving the most slack on cable and its like a half inch short of the clutch fork. this whole setup worked on my 89 last year.
