Default difference in equal and unequa

Will I really tell that big of a difference if I choose equal length shorties vs unequal shorties?

Yea their will be a difference, mostly at higher rpms though. The main difference is... the idea behind equal length headers is to equalize exhaust pulses. You dont want 2 exhaust pulses hitting the collector at the same time or its gonna slow down flow. If the tubes are the same length then the exhaust pulses would all hit the collector at different times. Not so with equal lenths, although they are still better than stock and much easier to install and work around.

Depends on your car as well, get ceramic coated whatever you do for better flow, and up the anty a little and go with a quality company, BBK, or FRPP, or MAC, it's worth it in the long run. Anyway, if you have a 99+ GT and are looking to put in equals, it might be really dificult, otherwise no problems.</P>
