Default 5.0 engine question

Ok so this may seem dumb but i found this 1995 mustang that had a v-6 in it but the owner put a 302 from a truck of the around the same year in it. would this change anything in the performance compared to a stock mustang 302 HO that usally goes in mustangs? i really want to upgrade from my 4cyl mustang so is it worth getting or keep looking for a true HO.

It is probably a flat tappet cam and not a hyd. roller like the HO engine. It will most likely have cast pistons too. I would look for a 87-92 HO enging from a Mustang or a Lincoln Mark VII.

most likely it is a roller cam set up ..starting in the 90's vans started to come with such as well as truck motors .. I swapped in a truck engine from a 92 f150 into a 92 e150 van a few months ago

my dad has a couple truck motors, stock 302 from a f-150, and an older 351w. i know he's planning on using one of them for his 86LX mustang.
