my intake on my 88 302 will not go down on the gaskets on one side but it looks as though i could slightly grind off some of the edge and it would fit.
Not the gasket side but the edge of the intake is hitting the head enough to keep it from seating so im not sure if ya have any ideas or is this typical o and the intake is a huricane if that matters any but anyway if ya have any ideas or suggestions id appreciate it before i take a hammer to it that'll seat it haha a little persuasion usally works thanks

 

I think you mean Typhoon intake and I just got done putting one of those on my 93GT. Didn't need to do any grinding though? Something doesn't sound right? Did you have the heads milled? take a straight edge to the intake, is it warped or cracked?

 

are you refering to the upper or lower??

 

the edge where the bolts would go is hitting the area where the lip of the valve cover would go

 

really?? that's a new one?? if you have it situated straight then it may be a manufactorer defect???......I'd love to see a pic if you could get one
