ecu replacement

ok my a9l ecu in my 89gt is toasted (trust me its confirmed)..i just got a ecu c3w1..will it work with my 89gt 5-speed..i belive its an auto ecu..will it cause any performance issues?

A c3w1 is not an auto ecu I don't think. I havn't heard of that one yet. The autos is A9 something, I don't remember what.

i heard the cw31 is a reman version of a9l and a9p its one of those computers that you can use in a manual or auto tranny, but idk how true it is

i had a 93 that was an original auto car with a five speed that had a c3w and had no problems what so ever

Ok, yea you can run a auto comp in a 5 speed but your not supposed to be able to use a 5 speed comp in an auto bc of the idle adjustments when the tranny is in gear or something like that.
