Since search isn't working I figured I'd ask if anybody knows how to remove the rear set in an 89 gt. Tomorrow is the first day taking the stang to the track so I'd like to have all weight and power advantages on my side to make up for my inevitable mess ups.

Push down and back and lift on the bottom seat and it will come out and then fold down the backs and remove the carpet and they unbolt right out.

Put your knees on the front edge, push your weight down and back. There is a small ring and hook that holds the seat. You are just trying to make the ring clear the hook and then push is back out of the way. Just take a look at before you start, that way you get a clear idea of what you need to do.

just do what is mentioned above and the rest unbolts in minutes

Pretty easy, thanks guys. This will come in handy for racing and when people ask to go for rides. Gas is $4.25 god dammit!![8D]

Anyone have an idea of how much the rear seats weight?

I have heard any where from 40-50 lbs all the way up to 100 lbs. All I know is the rear seat, glass in the hatch and A/C pump and smog pump are probably all together about 250 lbs, and that's why they are all going.
