My dad pulled my car into the garage and told me that the car moves prettyt quick in 1st gear without having your foot on the gas. WTF is the problem with that? THis car is nothing but a nightmare......ANy ideas?

 

Is it an auto trans? What is the idle in neutral?

 

how fast is fast? If it's a manual it will do that it's called idling in gear.

 

manual.....i would say between like 3-4mph it moves my old 5.0 never did this

 

Every car moves in gear.

 

3-4 sounds fine to me. I don't think you have anything to worry about

 

i just checked it out for myself the car moves when the clutch is all the way down ive never seen this in a manual car before

 

mine did the same thing, move forward when in 1st and clutch in, it turned out my clutch cable was coming apart, replace it before it snaps.

 

You're not releasing the clutch. Either it is WAY out of adjustment or the cable is stretched.
