Default 331 stroker build

alright i have a stock motor. I'm working now so im going to start to buy parts. What 331 stroker kit should i buy? I found one on www.mustangsunlimited.com for like 800 it came with all the ****...also what size cylinder heads should i look for? I will probably keep it N/A after the build. I will probably talk to jay and get a custom cam, and do you recommend the trickflow trackheat intake for what i'm doing, and a 70 mm BBK TB?

That's a little high. What brand of parts does it come with? You canget a Scat kit with forged pistons for $725. You should have no problems finding a cheaper brand for even less.

New? No.

A good deal used? Possibly.

347 i would go for a holley systemax or rpm 2 would be my first choices and also go 347 no placement for displacement.

pfsh 331 for the win
347's burn oil and will wear out before a 331, the 331 is a much more reliable motor espceially if it's a dd car plus you get a better rod angle so you get more revs
trust me i have one and i LOVE it, i would never go 347, i personally amnot a fan of THIN walls or oil burning

dude here we go again about the 331 vs the 347 and i will explain to my best ability and im sure others that have 347's will chime in

okay the oil burning issue was a thing of the past as now with the 5.315 rods it moves that ring out of the ring groove so no more oil issue. and for the rod angle there is not hardly a difference to worry about and look at some of the chevy stroker rod angles way worse than fords , and i know i/girlfriend has a 70 chevelle with a little something under the hood.

and to go 331 and not go to a 347 while your there and like i said issues are no longer are stupid.

The burning oil issue is long gone. New technology is far greater than what it used to be and a 347, when built correctly, will not burn oil.
