Default Wiring issue

Well im still having problems with my car. With all the alternator wiring removed from the car the gauge reads 9 volts. When driving down the road the radio will cut out, the temp gauge goes all the way up and the voltage guage dropsand the car tries to stall. This happens wether the alternator is hooked up or not. What could be causing this.

Default RE: Wiring issue

run a 4 guage ground wire to the firewall, directly from the battery. try that, and then one to any of the ac backet bolts(engine block).

the engine needs a ground from the engne block to the battery, from there to the firewall.

Ford did a very poor job grounding the fox body.

Once thats done, the fuel pump, guages, ecm, relays and ignition switch should be happy
