point me in the right direction....need some help with this one...
Alright so the other day my car just randomly decided not to starts. The engine turns over, but it just turns and turns but never fires up fully. Its a stock 302 with an edelbrock carb. The only things ive done recently that could have screwed things up is moving the MSD box, but i had it running for a while before this happened.
The ignition coil is near new and is fine, cap and rotor, plugs all are good.
I pulled the fuel line off and put the end in a bottle and i had gas coming out fine.
The msd box is all hooked up right and grouned properly. When i pull the fuel line off though after trying for a while, the gas just pours out. Its as if the fuels just sittin in the bowl and not going any further? Im kinda lost on where to look next, it happened a few days back and it ended up startin up and workin again for another few and now im back to the same problem, so if anyone has some imput let me know. Thanks.

ya i been planning on doin that, but i was by myself and couldnt look and start the car, but if theres not spark at the coil or plugs, where should i go next with this? How can i start eliminating certain things from there?

if your getting spark at the coil but not the wires, it could be bad wires, or a bad cap and rotor.
I dont know much about the MSD boxes tho, so I dont know if I am much of a help.
could the timing possibly be off just a touch?

it should be a vacc advance so you wouldnt need to worry about the factory tfi finally giving out.
does it reek of gas? if it does it could possibly be the coil, i ran into this not long ago and it turned out the coil had gone bad, after going through EVERY problem we could think of, we put in a new coil and it fired RIGHT up
