How much Trani fluid does the T-5 Take?
Hey guys. I am going to do a transmission flush soon enough and I am just curious how much fluid the stock T-5 takes? I have a 1990 5.0 Mustang Lx 5spd. Also, what fluid would be the best? And finally, what would be the best way to fill that bad boy back up? I was going to get a syringe and just go at it that way but if that trani takes like 10 liters of oil I'll have to come up with a new plan lol. Thanks guys.

I have heard GM Syncromech is the best, but it is like $13 a quart availiable at the GM dealer, or you can use any ATF Dextron 3, or some synthetic trans fluid like Royal Purple. To put it in you can either take off the shifter and put it in at the top, or put it in the top fill plug on the trans. The syringe would work in that case.

almost 3 quarts and I just drained my royal shat out cause I have a slightly noisey bearing and with royal shat it got louder and when I went back to amsoil it got quieter again
