Default Rusty Hatch

Well I was going to get my hatch spot welded with sheet metal today but noticed it might be more practical to get a new hatch all together.
What do you guys feel about Fiberglass hatches. Pro's, Con's, brands, personal experience?

I'm really pressed for time and money, the only junk yard i found around here has got one mustang stripped to the bone.
I've got roughly 700 bux to spend, which will have to include everything needed to get my hatch on.

Any suggestions?

I myself will eventually replace everything with fiberglass, that I can. First the hood, hatch, then eventually move on to fenders and anything else I can find. The less rot the better

That's clean lookin!!! Wish I had the rust on an easier to fix area like that. Mine is on the corners both left and right.

UPDATE: I sent it in to a muscle car resto shop yesterday, he said he'd grinddown the left side and glass it. The right side he's putting all new metal in and doing a little bit of work on the top flat side all for a little over 100 bucks! Beats the hell outta spending money on a fiberglass.
