Is there an "at home" method for pulling vacume?

ORIGINAL: mjr46

buysome a/c flush then squirt it through any lines you remove and squirt it in the condensor and evaporator.. then used compressed air to blow it all out until no more will come out......then install all lines and o-rings remembering to lube them with ester oil and then install reciever dryer and before all this drain compressor measuring oil removed and install same amount plus .5 to 1 once on top of that and there is a spec guide for all components you flushed out that will tell you how much extra oil / total system capacity is.......then once all is back together you need to draw system into a vaccum for at least 45 min to remove all moisture then system can be charged with proper amount of 134a and spin the compressor clutch over 10 to 12 times before starting car up= spin clutch over by hand.........I'd also replace the line with the orifice tube in it incase is is partially clogged with debris so a/c system will function properly and cool efficiently

you'd have to make a homemade vaccum pump.. I've seen some very primitive ones but best bet is do all the work then take it to a shop for evacuate and recharge
