Default starter problem

There is no computer in my car at the moment and my starter won't engage when I turn the key. This comes after I installed the longtube headers. We jumped the starter and it turned the motor over just fine. Hooked up everything the way I took it off. Anyone know what the deal is?

Default RE: starter problem

Did you jump the starter itself or the soilinoid on the fender? Do you hear any clicking noises when you try using the key? Sounds like that solinoid on the fender may have gone bad. Look everything over and be sure nothing is making contact to were it shouldn't.
