Default Vortech MAF...

Hey all I ordered a Vortech (C&L) 73mm MAF from my local speed shop last week, and it is going to be here tomorrow.. With what I have done to my intake system (BBK CAI, 70mm TB, 70mm EGR, Trick Flow Intake, 1.7 Roller rockers) and exhaust (BBK shorty headers, Headman O/R H-pipe, and American Thunder cat-back) what should I be looking at in performance gains.

I realize that the MAF is a huge bottleneck in my intake system, so I am hoping for a few tenths after everything else that I did since it is no where near its potential with the stock 55mm MAF... What do you think power & 1/4 times wise?

I've seen claims of 20+ hp gain from a larger MAF from certain companies, and with all that the larger tb and all, I'd bet you'd see quite noticable gains from it. I'd imagine over 15hp.

Well I installed it today, took all of 10 minutes, and the change in power is very noticable. Whereas before I had quite a bit of lag on the bottom, now I don't have that lag, and the mid-top end pull is amazing! It really brought out the power on the top end that I was expecting from the TB and Intake, I am quite happy with the product, and am now just awaiting my ET street radials for my next trip down the 1320.
