I have a question about my reverse. i was on a steep hill and i put it in reverse and gave it gas. i gave it to much and it starting stinning the tires and then it started to grind the sh** out of my gear. Now i cant use reverse bc it just grinds the gear or throws it out of gear. What is the problem? I have all my other gears just not reverse. i dont know anything about transmissions so should i just take it to a shop and have them fix it or can i do if it easy. I have a World Class T-5 if that helps.

I aslo talked to a friend of mine and he said to take it to a specail shop bc its a world class T-5 and they said worst case $850. Nobody i know will touch a tranny and i want to know why? im only missing reverse i have ever other gear.

It sounds like you broke the reverse gear. The reverse gear set in the trans is a straight cut gear. I've heard it is not as strong as the forward gears and it is one of the reasons that people say not to park the car in reverse but put the trans in 1st. Time for a rebuild.

Well im taking the tranny to a shop on wed and they said that if everything is missed up it will caost a max of $850. Im baisclly getting a rebuild they are going to fix it like new.

when i did mine i spun the gear off the shaft...better start parking where you don't have to use reverse

rev isnt that bad just got to take tail housing off dont even have to remove trans rev is in the back of it ..remeber you got to take shifter out to get to roll pin to get the tail husing off ..
