The P's are supposed to perform a little better do to its spark plug angle and what not. But do a little porting on the Gt40's and you will surpass the P's greatly. Talk to these guys on the GT40's

http://www.thumperoforangepark.com/

Thumper does some great work on GT40's.
Beautiful car by the way

u can find good used trickflow, edelbrock, and other aluminum heads for 800 all day long. look on ebay, corral classifieds even the classifieds here. and skip the gt40 aluminums u can get better for the same money.

The GT40's wouldn't have the spark plug angle issue that your GT40P's are giving you. But, depending on what a set of GT40's will cost. You may end up better off buying a set of after market heads.
