Default wire problem

When i bought my car a 1991 5.0 the person that had it before me put a painless wiring harness in it with all rocker swithches. Now that i have it on the road i noticed that the ignition power switch in the rocker panel gets very hot. it is melting the wires from the switch out. i have went through two switch also, it keepsover heatingthe switches. The wires are heating up from the switch out not from the source in. Does anyone know where i might start to look to fix this problem. thanks !

Default RE: wire problem

rewire switch so it controls a ground and doesn't run a high load current through it..or get a heavier amp rated switch
