is this a new TC? did you check to make sure it fits into the end of the crank prior to attempting to install it?

could be a shim/spacer issue. I know when I went from my auto-5 speed in my old PGT, I had to pop a shim out of the end of the crank to put the pilot bearing in.

That might be my problem. I'm going from a 5-speed to an auto. You think I need a shim I don't have?

Here's a tip, maybe you should be using a flexplate. lol and never use the bolts to pull the two together, if they don't slide together, something aint right.

yeah...we should close this thread now.... Cause I feel like a giant moron.

I knew it too, I told myself not to forget it, I was just in such a hurry to get it in, and then after fudging with it for so long I was so frustrated I just wasn't thing. SOOO, I've been messing with that pilot bearing for a few hours on and off today. Its reallllly in there. I Got the remover and the slide hammer, the roller bearings popped out, but the retaining bushing will not budge!

get in there with a brand new hacksaw blade, just the blade, and go to town. you will want to cut into it in two places, then pop it with a chisel
