Hi, I have a 94 mustang gt 5.0 and it runs strong no motor noise no smoke starts right up and it idles fine. when i drive it it runs fine untill i step on it, after i push the throttle about half way and it gets to 4000 rpm it starts to act up or miss. any ideas what this may be? its bone stock. Thanks.

 

what grade of gas do you use and does the state you live in have all gas stations converting to 10% ethonol? when was the last time you replaced the cap, rotor, wires, and plugs?

 

Actually i just bought the car from someone and it had a bad transmission so i replaced it and now i just started to drive it, havn't put any gas in and as far as i know all the rest might be original. I was thinking of putting on new cap,rotor, plugs and wires plus a coil .. but i didn't want to spend the money on all that stuff if its something else .... hopfully its in the fuel or spark.

 

actually mine does the same thing but at 5k and it has all new msd coil wires plugs and dizzy i think it's fuel pump check your pressure and then get a 255lph walbro
