If my car was on ice or slipping don't you think that would be the ideal time to have ABS, not to disable it?

At any rate how hard is it to reprogram the ABS? I know some people that work at Ford dealerships, can they do it there?

The dealership will tell you what everyone at this site wil probably tell you.....get all the tires the same size or foind someone to reprogram the abs....that would require to put in new chips....you would need a engineer to do it. dont think there is anyone out there makin after market one yet.

Didnt you have different sizes before, too? I think you knocked something while doing the wheel swap

so reprogramming the ABS is kind of a big deal? Maybe I'll just have it discontinued as I'm not really excited about swapping tires nor do I want to go to a taller tire up front, it looks so mint w/ the smaller tire.

USMC, on the old rims i had 255/45 and 275/40, although they were slightly different sizes it was still much closer than it is now. I'll have to go back in there and see if i hit anything putting them on, i didn't think so but you never know.

i agree with ewgoetz, the light is on b/c the wheels are moving at different speeds. match tire height and the light will go out.

I've been talking to a few people on another forum and several of them are running the same size tires as me without an ABS light so I should check my ABS sensors...

Sensor may be dirty if others have no problems. Either that or they took out the bulb.
